UPDATE: LEADERSHIP VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The election is expected to take place on or about February 15. Please see the link below for specific volunteer leadership needs.
UPDATE: OUR CANDIDATE NOMINATIONS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED
Our candidates for the upcoming special elections will be Steve Washington for Senate District 1 and Brent Burdge for Senate District 5. Links to their websites, volunteer and donation forms are coming soon.

TWO DEMOCRAT STATE SENATORS RAN FOR OTHER GOVERNMENT POSITIONS WHILE TWO YEARS STILL REMAINED ON THEIR CURRENT TERMS.
THE TWO AFFECTED DISTRICTS ARE BOTH IN NORTHERN NEW CASTLE INCLUDING AREAS SUCH AS CLAYMONT, BRANDYWINE HUNDRED, FORTY ACRES AND ARDEN.
The maps below show Senate District 1 and Senate District 5. For interactive maps go HERE or enter your address to determine your district on THIS DEPARTMENT OF ELECTIONS WEBSITE.
THESE ELECTIONS WILL MOST LIKELY TAKE PLACE IN MID-FEBRUARY 2025 BUT THE DATES DEPEND ON WHEN THE DEMOCRAT STATE SENATORS FORMALLY RESIGN FROM THEIR CURRENT ROLES.
Once formal resignations take place and the positions are vacant, a date for the election must be announced within 10 days and the election must then be set for between 30 and 35 days later. See THE DELAWARE CODE ON SPECIAL ELECTIONS.
